Producer Story:
In the village of Pueblo Nuevo Vi as, Department of Santa Rosa, Guatemala, between the Tecuamburro and Pacaya volcanoes is located, mountain of La Gavia, where the coffee farms Santa Ana, Idolia, Cielito and Amatillo are situated.
The national and international recognition and success of the brands "Finca Santa Ana" and "Idolia" is the result of the 30 years of hard work of his founder Roberto D az Marroquin, a coffee lover and focused on quality. During these years he managed, prepared, planted, harvested and processed each one of the yearly crops of the farms, giving its best to satisfy the international markets.
Planting coffee varieties such as Bourbon, Catua , Caturra and Pache, together with naturally trees grown in the area, give an excellent result of taste and aroma. The combination of these elements plus the quantity of rain, soil type and mainly the altitude of the plantation, makes our coffee unique. The strict supervision during the harvesting season has become a very important issue, as the coffee grain must be perfectly ripe. The depulping and drying in the sun during the wet milling are also highly managed to maintain the quality of each coffee grain.
We are highly proud that each year we have improved the quality and have been internationally recognized to what today is our registered brand. We have participated in the Cup of Excellence and have been among the finalists during several years, which helped us
establish commercial relations with Asia, Australia, Europe and USA. We are satisfied
to share with them and you this success, that our coffee has been considered one of Guatemalas best coffees.
