Farm details
Description: | San Antonio de Esquipulas y Anexos, was born as the dream of Francisco Ovalle Mendez, in January 1965. To later inherit his passion and love for coffee to his son Jorge (current administrative manager) and his grandchildren. The farm is located in the heart of the mountains in Joya Grande (name coming from Mam “Nim Jul”) Cuchumatenes, La Democracia, Huehuetenango. It has always been sought to produce coffee of the highest quality, seeking to have the least environmental impact and being friendly with the nearby communities, which is why some employees have been part of our team since our inception. Seeking to maintain our ecosystem we have eliminated the use of pesticides, creating a perfect balance between pests and their natural enemies. We seek that our practices avoid soil degradation, as well as that our shade trees help us not only have a shade but also generate organic material that allows the plant to have ventilation, guaranteeing that there is a distinctive flavor in our rate. |
